I create my art by hand. I run my business with modern tools.
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. I drew sharks and divers for a year after I saw Jaws. I drew knights in battle from Excalibur; I drew soldiers and military vehicles from war movies I watched with my father. Star Wars changed my life, and I was fascinated with Darth Vader and drawing spaceships.
I worked in a design house for about a year and found it stressful and unsatisfying. left design work for a more mundane occupation that paid the bills while I raised my kids. I’ve been drawing and painting the entire time. I enjoy it, it’s how I relax. I have over 300 folders f of artwork, my home is covered in paintings.
I started Rough Sketch Designs years ago, I own the URL, I formed the LLC. So, here it is, this is my portfolio website. It contains all of my most recent pieces, and as I get time, I intend to add older pieces as well as collaborations with other artists. I’ve been building a portfolio for thirty years and I’ve been polishing and turning my art into items people want to buy.
I’m offering prints, phone cases, coffee mugs, journals, notebooks, and t-shirts. All are available in my stores, which are linked in the section called Links and Stores. I've sampled the quality of the products and found myself impressed, all of which are linked in this site.

I inherited a lot of music from my older brother and sisters, and the love of that music has stayed with me all my life. My collection features not only classic rock and punk legends but also pieces of popular culture artwork that beautifully complement the vibe.

My dad shared his love of movies with me from an early age, and those iconic images inspired me to put pencil to paper and create my own homage to Hollywood's most enduring characters that celebrate popular culture artwork.

Beach Chickens!
I told my children seagulls were beach chickens when they were little, and it has stuck for years. This section is still in development, but it will contain drawings from the New Jersey Shore, including local lighthouses and detailed scenes of the Casino from Asbury Park that capture the essence of summer. Perhaps we’ll also include a few beach chickens among the popular culture artwork.
